Return & Refund Policy.
Last updated: July 2026. This policy applies to construction chemicals, sealants, expansion joint systems and allied materials supplied by Dhawan Associates.
Construction chemicals are batch-coded and shelf-life sensitive, and many items are supplied against a specific job requirement. To protect both you and product performance, our return policy is as follows.
1. Returns of unused stock
- Standard, unopened products in their original, undamaged, factory-sealed packaging may be considered for return or exchange within 7 days of delivery, against the original GST invoice.
- Returns are accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking charge (typically up to 15%) to cover handling and re-inspection.
- The product must have adequate remaining shelf life and show no sign of exposure, opening, or site storage.
2. Non-returnable items
- Opened, part-used, mixed or decanted products.
- Special-order, custom-cut or made-to-order items — including cut-to-length Dseal expansion joint profiles, custom covers and non-standard quantities.
- Products past their shelf life at the time of return, or stored in unsuitable conditions after delivery.
- Clearance / discounted lots sold expressly as non-returnable.
3. Damaged, defective or wrongly supplied goods
Please inspect your delivery on receipt. If any item is damaged in transit, defective, or does not match your order, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with your invoice number and clear photographs. Verified cases are resolved by free replacement or a full refund, including reasonable freight, at no cost to you.
4. Manufacturer warranty claims
Products carry the warranties of their respective manufacturers (Fosroc, Sika, Dr. Fixit, MC-Bauchemie, STP, Soudal, etc.). Where a claim relates to manufacturing defect or product performance, we will help you register and route the claim to the manufacturer and support you through the process.
5. How to start a return

6. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method (or as agreed) within 7–10 working days of the returned goods being received and inspected, or of a damage/defect claim being verified.
